Every Action has a Reaction: If you forget the Accountability Expectations, don’t worry, everyone makes mistakes. Here is what we can do.
-Program staff will redirect you to an appropriate behavior and will be reminded of the behavior guidelines. You will be expected to change your behavior after this reminder.
-If you choose to continue the behavior, we will circle up with everyone involved to communicate the effects of your actions in order to restore the situation.
-Any time your actions cause the staff to have to contact your parent/guardian, staff will write a written report. The written report will include what the action was, what provoked it, and how you and staff responded.
-If you choose to continue the inappropriate action and a second parent/guardian call becomes necessary, staff will meet with you to talk about your commitment to the Apex Accountability Expectations and whether you want to be involved at Apex.
-If a participant’s behavior at any time threatens the immediate safety of him/her, other Apex participants, staff or volunteers, the parent/guardian will be notified and expected to pick-up the child immediately.
