MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Phil Bailey is the Program Director for Apex Youth Connection and Director of the Apex Outdoor School. Phil began leading multi-week backcountry expeditions all over the United States in the mid-nineties and didn’t have enough good sense to get out of the woods for over a decade.  He then started managing outdoor adventure-based organizations, recruiting and training the next generation of wilderness leaders.  In that time he amassed over 1,200 wilderness leadership field days, was trained and certified through the American Mountain Guides Association on various rock climbing disciplines, obtained Advanced Wilderness EMT certification, taught Wilderness First Responder certification courses, and has written two books on adventure-based leadership and risk management.  As recently as 2018, Phil was the interim manager of the largest outdoor skills school in the New England region.

 REFUND POLICY
You can cancel or reschedule your class registration up to 48 hours prior to the class date and receive a full refund. Cancellations after that time will not be refunded but can be used toward another class if spaces are available.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
Unfortunately, things sometimes happen that are beyond our control. Weather, staffing issues, and pandemics are all variables that might effect the class. Also, some classes may require a minimum number of participants. If Apex cancels a class for any reason your registration fee will be fully refunded.
