Location: Saco Middle School (Grades 6–8)
Schedule: September 8–June 4
Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00–5:00 PM (10 hours/week)
Early Release Days: Typically the 1st Wednesday of each month, 1:15–5:00 PM

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Daily Operations: Lead activities, assist with homework, manage group behavior, and take attendance.

• Foster a Positive Environment: Create a welcoming and inclusive space for youth, families, and colleagues.

• Ensure Safety: Follow safety protocols, know evacuation routes, enforce program expectations, and report concerns or incidents.

• Actively Supervise: Stay engaged with youth, ensure all participants are accounted for, and monitor behavior and safety.

• Encourage Engagement: Promote participation and minimize distractions. Electronics are permitted only for homework or calming purposes with staff permission.

• Set Clear Expectations: Promote respectful communication, help youth resolve conflicts, and build a positive, team-centered environment.

PAY & QUALIFICATIONS

Pay: $15–$18/hour, based on experience

• Must be willing to complete a full background check

• Energetic, dependable, and youth-focused

• Strong communicator and team player

• Experience in mentoring, recreation, education, or youth work preferred

• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain

• Bilingual/multilingual applicants encouraged
